Junior Space is a small gallery in Fitzroy, Australia, which aims to provide an accessible platform for exhibition and sale of artworks. JS Journal is the next extension of this goal. The journal and the gallery aspire to create opportunity and income for local and emerging artists and offers a welcoming space for the community to experience and/or purchase original artworks.
JS Journal is a part of Junior Space's public program set to engage new and existing audiences with local and emerging artists and their practices. JS Journal will be quarterly publication, and each issue will feature interviews with local emerging artists, profiles on upcoming artists exhibiting with Junior Space and more. It is an extension of Junior Space’s commitment to supporting the local community of emerging artists and their practices. The first issue profiles four emerging artists all of whom work from home. They have each constructed studio or work environments within their living spaces.
